Planning and Community Engagement – Engagement Consultant
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Consultant to join our Planning and Engagement team based in Auckland and contribute to the success of WSP’s national business. In this role, you will collaborate as part of a team to deliver engagement for a range of infrastructure, planning and environmental projects.
As an Engagement Consultant, you will lead and contribute to engagement strategies for some of New Zealand’s most significant infrastructure developments. Your role will include a wide range of tasks including preparation of engagement materials, in-person engagement activities, co-ordination of events, documenting of engagement outcomes and preparation of presentations and reports.
This role is ideal for someone with hands on experience with in-person engagement, looking for career-leading opportunities.

About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 5+ years’ professional experience
- Strong written communication skills including experience in preparing collateral such as newsletters, FAQs and website content and report writing such as documenting engagement outcomes.
- Strong verbal communication with demonstrable experience in community and stakeholder engagement
- Event co-ordination experience, a high level of organisation, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment
- Consultation Manager platform experience would be useful but not essential
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
