About the Role
As the Nurse Consultant - Professional Development, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, educators, clinical nurse managers, clinical nurse directors, and other stakeholders to provide expert leadership, education, and strategic guidance throughout Lakes District. You will serve as the representative of the Director of Nursing and Midwifery on matters related to professional development, representing our organisation at local, regional, and national forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage nursing education and training processes, including post-graduate education, the Nursing Entry to Practice Programme (NETP), the Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP), and other internally and externally funded programs.
- Oversee the Professional Development Unit (PDU) staff, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Develop and implement systems and processes within the Professional Development Unit to drive quality and practice improvements in clinical areas.

About You
- Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate.
- Extensive experience in nursing leadership and professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in nursing practice.
