About The Role
Join our dynamic Genesis Data and AI Governance (DAIG) team as a Data Governance Analyst! This role is pivotal in advancing our data governance practices across the company, ensuring trustworthy and easy-to-use data. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and be part of major transformation projects.
In this role you will;
- Onboard, guide and train business data stewards and owners.
- Catalogue and map data lineage to support business analysis and transformation projects
- Use auto classification to maintain an up to date personal information (PI) inventory.
- Enrich critical data elements (CDEs) with business definition and other contextual information.
- Profile data, define quality rules, and enable data quality improvements.
- Support the implementation of responsible AI and ML frameworks and policies.
- Curate and publish good quality data products in a market place for citizen analysts across the company to access.
We are looking for a proactive and creative problem-solver with strong data governance and quality management skills.
Our ideal candidate will also have;
- Tertiary qualification in relevant business or science disciplines (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Software Engineering, Computer Science).
- Experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or data analytics.
- Product management mindset is a bonus as we position data governance as a product
- Ability to query and manipulate data using SQL or other languages.
- Experience using Azure Databricks and understanding data domains, quality rules, and metadata.
- Proficient in coordinating and influencing multiple business stakeholders.
