We're looking for a Lead C# Software Engineer to join our Account Domain team, focused on transforming the platforms behind our core banking services.

  • You'll tackle complex technical challenges with critical systems serving high traffic volumes. Our cloud-based, event-driven integration layer connects a wide range of systems and serves as the backbone of our engineering ecosystem.
  • We're after a Lead C# Engineer with strong leadership, mentoring skills, and experience in Agile and/or DevOps environments. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are essential—you’ll need to convey complex ideas clearly and influence a range of stakeholders.

Key skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • 9+ years' experience building large applications with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
  • Capability to design and implement Microservices i.e. breaking down business processes, designing and building de-coupled, re-usable component-based applications.
  • Knowledge of API technologies such as GraphQL, REST, etc, and supporting contract formats such as OpenAPI/Swagger, AsyncAPI.
  • Experience with microservice development for cloud native platforms and delivering apps to run on Docker/Kubernetes (AWS EKS or similar).
  • Experience with test automation as part of day-to-day development, ideally utilising TDD and BDD techniques. Performance testing experience is a bonus.
  • Experience in CI-CD practices, delivery via declarative deployment practices with automated quality and security checks.


Bonus (not essential but advantageous to have):

  • Experience designing and implementing solutions on modern event streaming platforms such as Kafka would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of OAuth / zero trust design principals and/or building services with AD Auth.
  • Experience working within a regulated software environment.
  • Understanding of banking and accounting processes and models.
  • Experience with on call and after-hours support.
