We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a strong commercial acumen and a passion for performance. You will be looking after the day-to-day operations of our Contracting division in Northland — with a focus on delivering results, driving performance, and making a positive impact in the region.
This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing our depots, managing the performance of contracts, and ensuring our clients’ needs are met - every time.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on role, with a mix of office and client engagement. You will lead a business unit that includes the Faults team, tasked with responding to outages and restoring power across the Northland regions. You’ll also oversee planned maintenance and asset replacement activities to meet operational standards while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are never compromised.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple depots
- Lead the delivery of contractual obligations and performance KPIs for key clients
- Drive annual maintenance and asset replacement programs
- Ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness through strong commercial oversight, budgeting, and reporting
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Promote a strong safety and continuous improvement culture within the team
- Manage and grow a capable, high-performing workforce
- Proven operational management experience, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or utilities sector
- Has a strong commercial understanding with the ability to oversee budgets, pricing, and forecasting
- Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., business, engineering, or project management)
- Has the ability and experience in managing geographically spread teams and depots
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
