Senior Business Analyst

12-Month Contract | Auckland-Based | Hybrid Working (2–3 Days in Office)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst for a leading organisation within the banking sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a significant transformation project involving lending and credit check systems.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and high-performing team on a 12-month contract (with potential extensions), delivering critical business outcomes in a complex and fast-paced environment. The role is based in Auckland with a hybrid working model (2–3 days a week in the office).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partnering with stakeholders to define and document business needs, particularly across wholesale lending and/or credit decisioning functions.
• Leading business analysis activities across the full project lifecycle – from planning and requirements gathering to solution validation and implementation support.
• Applying a structured approach to solving complex problems and translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Supporting agile and hybrid project delivery models with a flexible and proactive attitude.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams – including developers, testers, architects, product owners, and subject matter experts.
• Producing high-quality documentation and presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong background in wholesale lending, credit decisioning, or related systems implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Proven ability to work autonomously on complex initiatives, while also collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and challenge assumptions, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
