We’re looking for a savvy Senior Legal Counsel to join our high-performing legal team on a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated legal professional to work on a wide range of interesting and meaningful matters while contributing to a business that will invest in your growth!

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering legal and regulatory advice across the business. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to provide guidance on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, from contract review and negotiation to internal legal support on corporate finance and capital markets initiatives.

You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment that offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to continue sharpening your legal expertise alongside a supportive, experienced team.

What you’ll bring:

  • A New Zealand qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) and a current NZ practising certificate
  • Experience in general corporate and commercial law (in-house experience a bonus but not required)
  • Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
  • A confident communicator who can build rapport across all levels of the business
  • A pragmatic, proactive, and commercially minded approach
  • Comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team
