Property Manager

Paragon Recruitment Ltd

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Auckland, Auckland
Contract type: Full time

We’re on the lookout for a Property Manager who gets things done — someone who brings confidence, clarity, and calm to every conversation. Whether you're an experienced PM or someone with a background in recruitment, airlines, or hospitality who knows how to handle people and pressure, this could be your next big move.

At The Rent Shop, we don’t overpromise — we deliver, and our clients know it. This role is about owning your portfolio, building trust with investors and landlords, and consistently offering solutions that make their lives easier. If you’ve got a sharp eye for detail, a natural problem-solving mindset, and a hunger to grow, we want to hear from you.

Who You Are:

  • You’re a confident communicator who knows how to build trust fast — especially with landlords and investors.
  • You’re a natural problem-solver. You don’t panic, you pivot — and find solutions that work.
  • You have hustle. You're the type who doesn’t wait to be told what to do — you spot opportunities and act on them.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing a dynamic portfolio of residential properties across Auckland.
  • Being the go-to person for your landlords — with regular calls, updates, and proactive solutions.
  • Conducting inspections, organising maintenance, chasing arrears (zero tolerance), and ensuring Healthy Homes compliance.
  • Converting leads into new managements and helping grow the rent roll.
  • Selecting the right tenants, not just the first ones.
  • Prepare tenancy agreements, select quality tenants, and handle all leasing documentation.
  • Conduct inspections, manage maintenance, and ensure Healthy Homes compliance.
  • Review rental rates, keep your portfolio running smoothly, and handle all property-related correspondence.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Strong time management and organisation skills — you know how to prioritise
  • Confidence in communication, both written and verbal
  • A natural ability to build rapport and trust with landlords, investors and tenants
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
  • A customer service mindset — always aiming for quality outcomes
  • Willingness to learn the ins and outs of the Residential Tenancies Act, Fair Trading Act, and your local area
  • We are a team that works together, so when you're not off seeing clients you'll love our office first approach to collaboration and teamwork

Previous experience in property management is great — but not essential if you’ve worked in fast-paced, relationship-heavy roles, we want to hear from you.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • A career, not just a job — with room to grow and lead.
  • A supportive environment where initiative is celebrated, not stifled.
  • Competitive salary, medical insurance, company car, fuel, and phone.
  • Ongoing training, real development, and a team that has your back.
