We're looking for a Delivery Manager - Design & Estimation to join our Contracting Division. This role is based in New Plymouth.

The role:

As a Delivery Manager - Design & Estimation, you’ll lead our Design Engineering team, ensuring design compliance with PowerCo standards and drive productivity across various projects. You’ll work closely with Design Engineers, and our external stakeholders to achieve outstanding project outcomes while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the Design and Estimation team, undertaking tender and design works on PowerCo’s network.
  • Providing your team with expertise in Line design and estimation.
  • Ensuring compliance with Northpower, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Leading development through mentorship and effective communication.
  • Identifying opportunities for business improvement and enhanced safety practices.


About you:

We’re after someone who brings expertise in design and estimation with strong leadership skills. You will:

  • Have a BE Electrical or Electrical Diploma with a minimum of three years of experience.
  • Experience in leading a Design Engineering team in electrical distribution networks.
  • Hands on experience with Line design software – Naera, Coldnet, catan etc.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership in a multicultural environment with strong team management skills.
  • Show the ability to foresee challenges, solve problems efficiently, and influence positive outcomes.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and customer focus.
