Are you a Product Owner looking for a new challenge?
In this role, you will join our Data Platforms team that is responsible for the stewardship of Kiwibank's On-Prem Data Warehousing Team to deliver excellent experiences for our staff and customers.
You will be hands-on as a member ensuring the product development is aligned with organisation objectives.
Day to day this could include:
- Exhibiting leadership by clearly articulating the 'why' of prioritised work, and how this will achieve measurable progress towards objectives. This can include gathering requirements, undertaking options and scenario analysis of the impact of design decisions
- Contributing to quarterly planning activities by performing discovery and refinement on epics.
- Providing direction by translating business requirements into user stories, refining those user stories, and developing story maps, and breaking down work into small chunks to deliver and unlock value early. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high-quality backlog, working with platform/product manager to develop and define roadmaps, & defining metrics to support decisions.
- Clearing roadblocks to success and making success visible.
- Facilitating and steering best practises of agile including ceremonies.
Key skills and experience you would bring to the role would include:
- Ability to think strategically and at a detailed level to cope with business and technology complexity.
- Proven experience with SQL and data platforms.
- Solid business analysis and product development life cycle experience.
- Strong stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation.
- Solid understanding and experience working in an agile environment.
- Owning relationships and management of Vendors who support our strategic and operational objectives.
