We are seeking an experienced Asset Finance or Commercial Banker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development and customer acquisition, strong existing networks, and a genuine passion for supporting Kiwi businesses in acquiring a diverse range of plant and equipment for Commercial and Corporate customers. This senior role is ideal for someone who is proactive, focused, and confident in delivering tailored asset finance solutions to clients.

The purpose of this role is to support the growth of Kiwibank's Asset Finance proposition by delivering expert advice, building strong relationships, and offering tailored financial solutions that meet clients' needs. This critical role involves having a clear understanding of the client’s business and the environment they operate in, with a deep understanding of asset value and its importance to the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist Asset Finance expertise and advice to clients and prospects within the designated region
• Drive loan portfolio growth through active market engagement, networking, and referrals
• Support the Kiwibank relationship management team as the designated product expert for Asset Finance
• Manage credit applications, transaction structuring, and ensure smooth settlement and documentation workflows
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer clients to other Kiwibank departments
• Provide coaching and training to internal teams on Asset Finance products and process

• Proven experience in asset lending, or as a business/Commercial banker
• Strong knowledge of the asset finance market and related industries
• Established relationships with intermediaries and referral sources
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong understanding of credit risk and financial analysis and onboarding process for customer applications
