ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Penguins is a modern, spacious early childhood centre, specifically designed for children to investigate and explore an inquiry and play-based learning environment, carefully constructed to achieve the best learning outcomes for every child. We are seeking an inspirational Centre Manager to lead our team of highly qualified early childhood educators, foster the culture, ensure the professional running of the centre and continue to deliver excellent early childhood educational outcomes for the children in this established centre. Our centre is conveniently located in Howick and is easily accessed from the surrounding suburbs as you travel to work or carry out your family errands. We would love the opportunity to meet you and your child to discuss the needs of your family.

- Ensure the efficient running of the Centre, implementing management policies and ensure that all statutory requirements are met
- Promote the philosophy and educational aims of the Centre to staff and parents
- Co-ordinate long term and daily programes for the Centre, and monitor progress
- Set the tone for the culture, role modelling good practices and behaviours
- Develop strong professional relationships with staff and parents.
- Exercise responsible judgement involving decisions related to children
- Inspire, lead, organise and oversee professional development of the team
- Current teacher registration/certification with relevant early childhood qualification.
- An inspirational leader with an ability to develop and motivate a team to deliver best practice childcare services
- Familiarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics
- Collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and other Centre Managers in our network
- Experience ensuring the professional running of a centre and the delivery of a high quality early childhood curriculum
