As a global leader in Animal Health, Argenta is on the lookout for a Technical Assistant – Engineering to join our team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on opportunity packed with learning, in an innovative, fast-paced environment that's shaping the future of animal health.

We are currently seeking a Technical Assistant – Engineering Support to play a key role in enhancing the efficiency of our maintenance operations and data management within the CMMS. In this role, you will support the engineering and maintenance teams by ensuring timely processing of work orders and purchase orders (POs), while also assisting with compliance and documentation-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and close work orders in the CMMS system
  • Raise and close purchase orders (POs) to support engineering needs
  • Maintain and update equipment/instrument inventory records
  • Assist in equipment validation reviews and compliance checks
  • Support the upkeep of CMMS data (assets, calibration schedules, PM plans)
  • Ensure maintenance procedures meet operational and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams on improvement initiatives
  • Provide documentation, data entry, and reporting support
  • Assist with spare parts inventory and external contractors on site
  • Contribute to preventive maintenance and calibration tasks
  • Prepare and manage weekly/monthly reports on breakdowns, PMs, and work orders
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of maintenance effectiveness

Desired Experience

  • Experience in a technical or administrative support role within engineering/maintenance
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and data management
  • Basic understanding of maintenance, calibration, and equipment validation
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); SAP or CMMS (Plant Maintenance) experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with spare part management
