The Department of Paediatrics at Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral is seeking interest for a Paediatric Fellow. Applications are also open to overseas trained doctors with an equivalent qualification.

About the Role
This position is a 12-month fixed term post with a negotiable start date. This role would suit a final year advanced trainee in General Paediatrics (RACP) or someone who has recently completed their advanced training. We can offer (and are currently accredited for) 12 months of core training (including 6 months general paediatrics, 6 months rural, 6 months community/developmental). The role would include an outpatient clinic load and a position on the SMO on-call roster.
You will share a 1:9 acute roster covering the broad gamut of acute paediatrics with a 14-bed level 2A neonatal unit taking babies 28 weeks gestation (1000g) and over. The service is supported by dedicated Paediatric RMOs, on site at all times. You will enjoy a range of outpatient clinics in the hospital and the community.
We enjoy excellent liaison with tertiary colleagues from Starship and Wellington, who all visit on a regular basis. We are proud of our reputation as a centre for trainees in Paediatrics, General Practice and Emergency Medicine.
