What You Will Be Doing
As an HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in championing a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across our New Zealand division. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist HSE advice and support to teams across NZ and other divisions as required.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and legislative requirements, escalating non-compliance where necessary.
- Assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of our HSE management systems.
- Leading and coordinating incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions are taken.
- Driving a culture of accurate and timely reporting of incidents and events.
- Developing and delivering training programs, safety inductions, and toolbox sessions.
- Managing return-to-work processes, collaborating with medical professionals and stakeholders.
- Conducting site safety audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to regional and site-specific safety plans.
- Providing HSE data and reports to senior management, supporting informed decision-making.

To excel in this role, you will need:
- 3–5 years of experience in a Health & Safety advisory role.
- Experience with ACC, Return to Work and Rehabilitation processes.
- Training in or experience with ICAM methodology for incident investigations.
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation, trends, and compliance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Analytical mindset to identify risks and drive improvements in safety initiatives.
- Ability to promote and foster a proactive safety culture within a dynamic environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a recognised equivalent (Certificate IV or higher).
