About the Role
The Assessment Treatment and Rehabilitation Unit (AT&R) provides inpatient rehabilitation for adult patients who present with a broad range of medical, surgical and cognitive conditions e.g. stroke, post fracture and delirium. Our patients may be admitted directly from the community or come to us from the acute wards.
About the Team/Location
Te Whatu Ora (Nelson Marlborough) is the main health provider for Te Tau Ihu, the top of the south. Nearly 3,000 strong, we are Nelson and Marlborough’s largest employer. Our main locations are Nelson and Wairau Hospitals, and the Richmond and Marlborough Health Hubs, but we are spread across the region and service all parts of the community.
The AT&R Assessment Treatment and Rehabilitation Ward is a 20-bed unit located at Level 1 of the Percy Brunette Block building of Nelson Hospital.
We have a high functioning multidisciplinary team of Geriatricians, Nurses, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Speech language therapist and Dieticians.
