We're looking for a Risk and Assurance Analyst to join our Legal and Risk team and help strengthen how we identify, manage, and mitigate business risks. This role can be based in Auckland or Whangarei, depending on the right candidate.

The role:

As a Risk and Assurance Analyst, you’ll support Northpower’s risk and compliance frameworks and help ensure we’re operating safely, ethically, and in line with our legal obligations. You’ll work closely with leaders and subject matter experts across the business, helping to maintain our risk and compliance obligations registers, monitor internal controls, and contribute to reporting that informs the Audit and Risk Committee.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining our enterprise risk register
  • Supporting our compliance program (by helping to maintain the compliance obligations register and facilitating compliance assessments)
  • Assisting in internal control reviews and testing
  • Supporting the review and development of internal policies and procedures
  • Helping to facilitate risk workshops and training across the business
  • Providing timely, insightful reports on risk and compliance


About you:

We’re after someone who thrives on structure, loves solving problems and wants to make a difference by helping us improve how we manage risk and compliance. You will:

  • Have 2-4 years’ experience in a risk, compliance, analyst, or similar role
  • Bring strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Be comfortable working with data, frameworks, and documentation
  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, economics, finance, or risk
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Have a proactive mindset and enjoy working both independently and collaboratively
