Maintenance Fitter

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to start your career as Maintenance Fitter based at our Feedmill site in New Plymouth reporting to our Plant Engineer. The Feedmill supports our livestock operations by supplying poultry feed to farms throughout the upper North Island region. This is a day/afternoon shift position working Monday to Friday, and on-call roster responsibilities every second week/weekend.

What does the role involve

• ?To ensure minimum downtime or disruption to processing by carrying out all repairs, and preventative and general maintenance as required in a cost-effective and timely manner while complying with all Company and statutory quality and safety policies
• .With an emphasis on the reduction of downtime, proactively seeking out opportunities to improve plant efficiencies. Using sound engineering and process knowledge to prioritise and mitigate reliability problems
• .Provide expert knowledge and training for the implementation of operator maintenance activities

.Key areas are Batching, Grinding, Pellet Press operation and Services
