Furniture Removalist

We are looking for permanent full-time Furniture removalist, packing, moving and
transporting general freight. To be considered for the role you will have or should be
eligible for a clean driver license. A valid international driver’s license in acceptable.

Job responsibilities

• good furniture-packing skills
• knowledge of how to safely move difficult and fragile items such as instruments and glassware
• the ability to pack a truck so that it is balanced
• the ability to read office plans and road maps
• To complete logbook accurately and in a timely manner
• To ensure all loads are secured appropriately
• To always travel within speed limits having consideration for road conditions, other road users, weather, cargo, signage, and the environment
• To report any traffic infringements immediately to your manager
• To report any incidents, damage or accidents immediately as per company

• To competently care for equipment ensuring truck is kept clean and well-

Job Prerequisites

• Reliable and punctual

• International/overseas license is acceptable
• Covid vaccination pass
• Drug and alcohol test clearance is compulsory
• Clean history with no demerits on the license
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity
• Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards is an advantage, training

Job location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
Days required Monday – Sunday (Roaster based)
Number of hours: A minimum of 30 hours over the period of 5 days per week
Hourly Rate: $27.00 to 32.00 per hour (depending on the experience and skill level)
