Retail Store Manager

We are looking to fill two positions of Store Managers for our two stores operating at Whangarei.

Key Responsibilities:

• To run the store and is available to cover shifts including busiest day by turnover

• To Manage and develop a profitable store

• To lead , develop and motivate a team that delivers exceptional service to encourage and that our store remains the brand of choice

• To be solely responsible for the profitability of the store and to ensure staff is taught correct sales procedures and have a good knowledge of the product they sell

• Complete store operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results

• Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

• Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, planning, joel monitoring and appraising job results

• Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions

• Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements

• Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts, maintaining inventories

• Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed sales promotion, authorizing clearance sales, studying trends

Days required: Rotating roster, including weekends

Hours per week: 35 to 40 hours per week

Hourly Pay: $25 to $30 per hour
