About the role
The Older Persons Mental Health Burwood Day Clinic team at Burwood Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, with experience in Mental Health to work alongside OPMH Staff and Consumers. Your methodical, organised approach and exceptional interpersonal skills will see you succeed in this role. Working collaboratively with a small team, within a larger service you will be confident in your ability to work under pressure and build successful therapeutic relationships in this diverse and innovative role.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing and allied health professionals working within The Burwood Day Clinic
- Promote ‘best practice’ and critical evaluation of patient outcomes with a supportive environment.
- Work with the Clinical Manager and Service Manager to review operational and budgetary resources.
- Work with the Clinical Manager to ensure accurate and regular data reporting.
- Undertake the daily co-ordination of The Burwood Day Clinic including the Memory Assessment Clinic.
- Provide cover and support for OPMH ECT Service.
About You
If you’re a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse, with Older Persons Mental Health experience, or a passion for Mental Health, and are ready to step up into a leadership role, we would love to hear from you.
Skills and experience
- A New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate
- At least 5 years post registration experience
- You will be a confident practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence and ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
- Has or is working towards a post graduate qualification relevant to the profession
- Demonstrated leadership skills
