This role will enable you to be part of a step change in our technology program at an enterprise level for Beca. Within the team, you will initially support the delivery of critical enterprise system updates, helping to deliver one of the technology platforms that will enable Beca’s second century of growth. Your responsibilities will include eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements using a variety of techniques such as workshops, interviews, surveys, and desk-based research.
As the bridge between teams, you’ll be working as part of a cross-functional team to understand business requirements, with the technical and analytical curiosity to probe and understand the ‘so what’ with the team. With a best practice approach, you’ll be defining functional and non-functional requirements, capturing decisions as they’re made with our implementation partners, and working across the project to document end-to-end business processes. Additionally, you will support testing and change management activities and develop or update business process definitions.
Strong problem-solving skills, conceptual thinking, and exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills are essential. The ability to multi-task, context switch, and effectively manage delivery priorities is crucial. We are looking for someone with over 5 years of experience as a business analyst on complex projects, experience across different software development methodologies, and preferably, experience in developing user stories and acceptance criteria.
