Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As Team Leader – Apps Integration & DevOps, you’ll lead a team responsible for delivering applications integration solutions between critical systems. You’ll guide the design and implementation of new patterns and frameworks using Azure Integration Services and other tools, moving us away from legacy and manual practices.
You’ll also support DevOps practices, ensuring CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling are in place to improve delivery efficiency. While DevOps is an important part of the team’s remit, the primary focus of this role is application integration—designing and delivering well-structured, maintainable, and monitored integrations between line-of-business applications.

You’ve delivered integrations at scale, understand enterprise platforms and modern integration patterns, and are confident leading a team through change. - Align technical decisions with architecture principles and strategic outcomes.
- Engage with vendors to ensure robust delivery and support of integration platforms.
- Partner with business and digital leaders to prioritise, plan, and deliver work.
- You’ll have the opportunity to shape the way we approach integration long-term—this is not just a delivery role, it’s about building a sustainable capability.

- A bachelors degree specialising in computer science, engineering or related field—10+ years in technical roles, including recent experience in leadership or team management.
- Expertise in application & systems integration, especially with Azure or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, web services, integration middleware, & service buses.
- A working understanding of DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, & automation frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills & the ability to influence without authority.
