  • No set shift - hours of work are across all the shifts, we are a 24 hour operation which means Morning/Afternoon and Nights will be required 7 days a week.

About the Role

Orderlies play an integral part in the patient journey, ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality care in our facilities. Our team provides essential orderly services within Burwood Hospital and Christchurch Health Campus seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

The role also covers some back of house functions including waste removal, linen distribution and movement of equipment associated with patient care.

We are looking for candidates that have great customer service skills and can relate to a range of people.

To be considered for this role you will need to be physically fit to be able to work on your feet for your entire shift as well as being able to move patients around the hospital with ease and professionalism.

Starting rate $27.80 per hour. Based on the Etū Multi-Employer Collective Agreement, with time and a half on weekends and double time on statutory holidays.



About you

Skills and Experience:

  • Full drivers’ licence – essential
  • Experience in driving large vans and/or ‘P’ class endorsement would be an advantage
  • Physically fit and be able to be on your feet for an entire shift as the role involves a lot of walking around the hospital.
  • Excellent customer service skills and be able to work in an inclusive team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An enthusiastic and people-focussed approach to your work.
  • Must be available to work at both Burwood Hospital and Christchurch Health Campus.
