About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to be based in our Christchurch office and take ownership of financial reporting and compliance for our Australian operations.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work cross-border with our Melbourne-based team, offering a blend of local support and international collaboration. Occasional travel to Melbourne will be part of the role.
Perfect for someone with audit or financial reporting experience—perhaps from a Big 4 background—who is looking to move into a broader, more impactful role in a purpose-driven organisation.

About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to be based in our Christchurch office and take ownership of financial reporting and compliance for our Australian operations.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead reporting for the Australian aged care operations, ensuring Ryman remain compliant with the Aged Care Act, Department of Health obligations, and Australian accounting standards
- Drive monthly reporting processes with teams in NZ and Australia
- Support Group financial reporting and lead the preparation of Australian subsidiary statements
- Manage the Australian business audit process and provide relevant financial data
- Collaborating with operational and finance teams to align financial data with business objectives.
- Support with tax compliance, working closely with the Capitalisation team
- An experienced accountant with knowledge of financial reporting, audit and compliance
- Ideally familiar with Australian aged care reporting standards (or eager to learn)
- A strong collaborator who can work across time zones and cultures
