About The Role

We are seeking technically skilled, customer-focused Software Engineers to join our IT team. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will help design, develop, test, and document software to meet our product goals.

You will work with our product team to understand requirements and deliver solutions using agile methods and continuous delivery principles.

Your responsibilities include supporting, refactoring, and enhancing existing production software to improve user experience. Additionally, you will focus on continually improving processes, practices, platforms, and tools to help us achieve our objectives.

About You

You are passionate about software development, keeping up with industry trends and utilise your mentoring ability to build quality and knowledge-share within both internal and external teams.

Our ideal candidate has experience designing and delivering appropriate solutions within large scale enterprise solutions and within a cloud-based environment. Incorporating your experience with architecture, development, code reviews, and unit testing in the full software development lifecycle.

You will analyse business and technical problems and provide recommendations for architecture, design, and development with consideration to the problem domain, stakeholders, and risk appetite.

We are looking for a candidate who is not only technically skilled but also personable and great at building relationships. The ideal candidate will excel in working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Their ability to connect with others and work together towards common goals will be essential in driving our projects forward and achieving success.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering including time in a senior role.
  • Recognised Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering / Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Strong software development skills, understanding of core principles, and ability to learn.
  • Strong technical knowledge of software design patterns and when to apply them.
  • Ability to convey complex problems and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and teamwork
  • Ability to analyse and understand underlying business problems and research appropriate solutions.
  • Experience with agile product delivery.
  • Significant experience with unit testing frameworks, source control and CI platforms.
  • Worked with .Net, Python, T-SQL, relational databases, Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Web and mobile application development experience advantageous.
