This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours or days. You will cover sick (oncall) and annual leave, and need to be available over Public Holidays and nights.

Time and a half on weekends and double time on Public Holidays!

About the Role

Do you have a passion for cleaning and love that satisfaction when something looks and smells new? Join our Environmental Services Department in this part-time cleaner role.

You will be part of a small, fast-paced team maintaining Ashburton Hospital Facilities, providing exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year.

Salary: Starting rate $27.80 per hour.

Your Responsibilities

• Complete all cleaning tasks to a high standard
• Ensure daily schedules and task lists are completed in the set time frame
• Work alongside other cleaners to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Match service requirements to the clinical needs
• Maintain equipment and operate according to specifications
• Utilise the correct chemicals and dilutions

We seek a reliable, hardworking, and flexible candidate who is passionate about cleaning and making the Hospital a hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau.

Skills and Experience

• High level of patient confidentiality
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health, is preferred but not essential

Full training will be provided to all new staff.
