We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Surveyor to join our survey team in Christchurch. In this role you will be responsible for providing construction surveying and technology support to our Project teams in the Canterbury region.


In addition to the above you will:

  • Prepare and manage survey data.
  • Manage and maintain control point networks.
  • Conduct topographical surveys.
  • Complete setout of various civil infrastructure features.
  • Support machine control technology and new innovations.
  • Prepare quality assurance conformance reports and as built information.
  • Use scanning total station and work with point clouds.
  • Drone pilot and process photogrammetry.
  • Complete Tiny Mobile Robot setout
  • Plan production and survey data presentation.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in civil construction surveying, supporting construction and surfacing activities.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Trimble field software and Trimble machine control.
  • Significant working knowledge of Trimble Business Centre and AutoCAD Civil 3d software.
  • A proactive approach towards Health and Safety - it's our #1 priority.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with internal/external teams.
  • The ability and competence to work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Competent in cloud-based data management.
  • Experience in DJI drone operation and Propeller software.
