This role involves general cleaning duties and assisting tilers on-site. Responsibilities include carpet and upholstery cleaning, surface sanitization, waste disposal, and maintaining site cleanliness. The role also supports tiling work by preparing areas, moving materials, and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning carpets and upholstered furniture using cleaning machine and their attachments.
  • Selecting and applying cleaning agents to remove stains from carpets, windows, and surfaces.
  • Filling carpets cleaning machines with water and other cleaning agents.
  • Pushing pile-lifting machines over carpets and brushing pile to raise and fluff nap.
  • Treating carpets with soil repellent chemicals and deodorants, and treating for pests.
  • Using ladder, swinging scaffolds, bosun’s chairs, hydraulic bucket trucks, and other equipment to reach and clean windows in multi-story buildings.
  • Applying chemicals and high pressure cleaning methods to remove deposits from swimming pools, cooling tower components, and drains; using wet vacuums and other suction equipment to remove scale, accumulated dirt, and other debris.
  • Moving and covering furniture as necessary to facilitate cleaning and protect it.
  • Potentially assisting with carpet installation, upholstery repair, or tile and grout cleaning.
  • Providing excellent customer service, explaining cleaning processes, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, and other common areas.
  • Carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and other specific tasks as needed.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and using cleaning equipment safely.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors in various areas.
  • Dusting, wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows and mirrors.

Site Management

  • Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and tidy work environment by removing debris, dust, and other waste.
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by clearing pathways, removing hazards, and maintaining organized storage areas.
  • Sweeping and Mopping: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and surfaces throughout the site.
  • Dusting: Dust surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Waste Disposal: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, ensuring proper disposal methods.
  • Surface Cleaning: Clean and disinfect work surfaces, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash windows to ensure a clear view and a professional appearance.
