City: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Contract type: Full time
The Company

Our client is a pioneering New Zealand-based company and part of a global giant. Recently acquired as a cornerstone AgTech division of a global name brand, they are shaping the future using robotics, automation, and precision technologies which improve productivity and sustainability across the agricultural value chain.

With roots in innovation and eyes on global expansion, they design and deliver cutting-edge mechanised solutions for growers and agribusinesses worldwide.

The Role

We're seeking a Product Manager with strong commercial instincts and global product marketing experience—ideally with exposure to AgTech, electromechanical systems, and/or equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and sprayers.

Working in partnership with other Product Managers, this role will lead the strategic development, marketing positioning, and commercial success of a designated AgTech attachments product line. Acting as the central link between engineering, sales marketing, and external partners you'll be responsible for defining long-term product roadmaps, building robust business cases, and contributing to pricing, positioning, and partner strategy.

A core part of your success will lie in delivering the Product / Programme Strategy, the Commercial strategy incorporating pricing, performing Cost Benefit Analysis, the ROI analysis, providing Product Marketing & Market Intelligence and owning the competitive benchmarking process to define the overarching market segmentation strategy. You are focused on sharpening the product direction and optimising the return on investment.

You will engage regularly with ELT stakeholders to ensure alignment on shared initiatives and represent your product’s performance to the executive leadership team.

This is a hands-on and strategic role that requires strong project ownership, stakeholder management, and the ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced, globally connected organisation. You'll thrive if you're commercially astute, technically grounded, and passionate about bringing practical, market-ready innovations to life—particularly in the global agricultural sector.

Ideal Experience & Attributes

  • Experience in product marketing or product management within AgTech, machinery, robotics, or related engineering sectors.
  • Experience in a multi product mechanical/mechatronic engineering business with a forward thinking, global marketplace focus.
  • Exposure to agricultural or horticultural equipment products is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, budgeting, and commercial modelling
  • Proven ability to develop marketing and go-to-market strategies with a global mindset
  • Adept at conducting market analysis, gathering customer insights, and articulating value propositions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Engineering qualifications (mechatronics, mechanical, or electrical) preferred/highly desirable.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, agriculture, and global market strategy.

The Person

Success in this role depends on your ability to manage upwards, collaborate across senior leadership, and actively contribute to cross-border product vision. You'll need to balance stakeholder priorities, navigate resource constraints, and champion your product’s voice in a complex and evolving AgTech landscape. This is a role for someone who’s not just executing a roadmap but actively influencing where the road should lead.

Being a growth-minded professional, you will thrive when asked to contribute to the global product think tank — we are seeking someone who is excited by the prospect of representing product-specific requirements in forums which shape market segment strategies at a global level.

The Remuneration & Location:

With a very attractive base salary plus both monetary and non monetary benefits, this role will reward you for your contributions. Moreover, the role is attractive for all the right reasons;

  • A Global Focus.
  • A truly innovative, visionary business focused on serving food segment and humanity in the same breath.
  • A corporate culture which fosters a pioneering spirit, collaboration and truly caring about integrity (doing what is right for customers, partners, the environment and community).

Based in Bay of Plenty, this role will be very attractive for those wanting to move to the region. This is that that role you have been looking for (I know it sounds cliché however, it really is an amazing role) to bring your goal of living in the region to life.
