The Role Reporting into the Director, Global Commercial Operations, the Commercial Analyst will support business enhancement projects across Seequent through the provision of analysis and interpretation of data as well as project coordination As a key member of the Seequent Operations team, the Commercial Analyst will analyze commercial and operational data, generate insights and collaborate with stakeholders across Seequent and the wider Bentley Systems group to provide recommendations on options to further enhance Seequent’s growth and efficiency. Recommendations are expected to be data driven. The role also includes BAU elements related to the measurement and reporting of business performance, or as otherwise directed by the Director, Global Commercial Operations

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the Seequent Operations team on BAU performance evaluation and business enhancement projects.
  • Identification and sourcing of relevant financial and operational data from internal business systems for the purpose of conducting evaluations and projects.
  • Reviewing data to confirm accuracy and to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide commentary on business performance to support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Data distillation for use in presentations by and to key stakeholders (including graphical presentations).
  • Play a lead role in business improvement initiatives, in conjunction with operationally focused teams.
  • Works with business teams to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Reconstruct, reconcile and analyze financial and operational data from CRM/ERP systems to confirm accuracy and consistency.
  • Identifying key trends, risk and opportunities to provide strategic insights to key stakeholders to support decision making.
  • Support the Seequent and Bentley Systems Business Intelligence teams to develop tools to measure business performance and KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and develop existing business intelligence tools and reports to improve operational outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-university experience in commercial analysis, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience in complex, multi-parameter data environments is preferred.
  • Proficient in the usage of ERP and CRM systems as well as Excel and Power BI would be ideal
  • Ability to distil and communicate insights effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to distil and convey complex information effectively.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and commercial acumen.
  • Relevant numerical mindset and ability to discern the inter-related nature and relevance of data.
  • Ability to apply professional curiosity and skepticism, with continuous reassessment.
  • Ability to develop analysis around KPIs.
