Japanese cuisine cook

T&P Sushi Limited ( Asuka Sushi) is looking for 3 cooks. We are located in Central Rotorua. Our mission is to serve fresh, flavourful Japanese cuisine while creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for our customers.

The candidates need to have at least 2 years relevant cook experience or relevant cookery level 4 qualification

candidates need to perform below tasks:

• examing foodstuffs to ensure quality
• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipement
• preparing and cooking food
• seasoning food during cooking
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies , sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• may plan menus and estimate food requirements
• may train other kithchen staff and apprentices

what we offer

• good pay rate
• 8 % annual leave and kiwi saver if applicable and sick leave
• minimum 30 hours per week and maximum 40 hours per week
• pay 28NZD to 35NZD per hour based on your skills
