What you'll be responsible for

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping, controls, and other pump station equipment
  • Respond to pump station alarms and troubleshoot issues
  • Operate pump stations to maintain proper flow levels
  • Collect and record operational data
  • Perform grounds maintenance tasks around pump station sites
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry
  • Conducting basic electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response

What you'll need to be successful

  • Technical training in wastewater operations or mechanics preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in the 3 waters operations and maintenance industry
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., wastewater operator certification)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, pumps, valves, and control systems
  • Ideally experience - Connexis L4, Riggers Ticket, CSE, BA and Gas detection
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in using computers and software for data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
