Plasterboard Fixers and Stoppers

Fulltime permanent job guaranteed 30 hours per week. Candidate must be a resident/citizen or with valid work visa. Must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Have own tools, and an up-to-date Site Safe card. EWP knowledge is preferred but not necessary.

Job Description:
To support the timely completion of all building and construction projects undertaken by the employer to a good workmanlike standard.

Responsibilities:

• Review build plans to determine materials and dimensions required
• Analyze drawings and specifications to assess proper layouts and determine best practice installation procedures
• Measure and mark cutting lines on required materials
• Cutting materials, fixing and quality check
• Install plasterboard on timber and metal frames used in building construction and repair
• Fixing the plasterboard using the correct method
• Apply stopping materials using the proper method
• Apply the specified paint onto the surfaces using the correct method
• Finish surfaces of woodworks and /or wallboards
• Ensure safe usage of all hand tools, power tools and equipment
• Remove offcuts, clean work area and throw away rubbish at the end of each workday
• Work in an efficient manner with team mates to achieve a goal and meet a deadline
• Get along with work mates maintaining a healthy and friendly work relationship in the jobsite
