What will you do?

As an Operations Quality Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations functions throughout Ryman, to ensure implementation and maintenance of aged care quality standards, whilst supporting villages to understand their role in providing quality care for residents by adhering to required standards.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures, focusing on clinical and compliance aspects. You will also conduct comprehensive clinical and operational compliance audits across Ryman villages in New Zealand, with occasional support in Australia. In collaboration with the wider Ryman team, you will identify and address areas of risk, proposing solutions and compliance guidance as needed. You will also support villages in maintaining compliance with the Nga Paerewa Health and Disability Service Standards, and all relevant legislation and regulations.

In this varied role, you will support new villages, prepare for external audits and have a key focus on continuous improvement This role is based in our Russley Road, Christchurch office and does involve some travel throughout New Zealand.

What we're looking for in you:

  • Hold a currentAnnual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • Extensive aged care experience in quality and compliance or an excellent knowledge of the Nga Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard.
  • Skilled in using data insights to drive performance improvements.
  • Committed to culturally inclusive care with a sound understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
  • Resilient and composed under pressure, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to support and empower teams.
  • Passionate about exceeding expectations and delivering excellence in aged care.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
