Store Manager

We are looking for a dynamic Store Manager to manage our busy store located in Christchurch, Canterbury.

This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week of work and the opportunity to do overtime. We offer competitive remuneration of $32- $35 per hour based on qualification and/or experience.

The Role

• As Store Manager, you will plan, lead, communicate, organise and control the day-to-day running of the store to achieve the highest possible standards.

• You must have a high attention to detail and love working in a busy environment.

• Responsible for stock control and management, including accurate stocktaking.

• Responsible for deciding on product pricing and for establishing marketing and purchasing policies to increase revenue.

• Monitor and check staff performance.

• Responsible for recruitment and training of new staff.

• Prepare monthly reports and budgeting.

• Understand and offer the best service and products to our customers.

• Drive sales and promotions, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the store is compliant with all company policies and Health & Safety regulations.

About you

• A relevant qualification is required to efficiently carry out the responsibilities of this role.

• Proven experience at supervisor/managerial level for at least 1 year or more is required in the absence of the qualification.

• Availability to work in rostered shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and late evenings.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• A commitment to driving sales and achieving outstanding results.

• Stock management expertise, understanding the importance of this.
