Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing detailed mechanical drawings and designs, with a specific focus on HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive mechanical drawings and designs using AutoCAD and Revit
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy
- Produce detailed documentation and as-built drawings
- Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts
- Support the development and integration of BIM models
- Conduct field and laboratory tests to verify performance standards
- Estimate material costs and project requirements
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong technical drawing and design capabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform complex calculations
- Detailed understanding of mechanical systems, particularly HVAC
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Minimum 3 years experience required
Our client has multiple roles available across New Zealand. If candidates are required to travel between locations, accommodation and travel expenses will be provided to successful applicants if applicable. Minimum of 30 hours per week and shifts available up to 50 hours.
Successful applicants will be required to travel between the following locations: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago and Southland. The candidate will be given at least 2 weeks’ notice before travel. All travel and accommodation expenses will be paid by the employer.
