The Role
As a Senior Product Manager, Geostatistics & Data Science, you will form an integral part of a team that is directly connected to our customers, and you will be a lead contributor in solving high order business problems, thus creating value outcomes and solutions to our customers. Overseeing geostatistics and data science capabilities, you will have the opportunity to leverage state-of-the-art Seequent desktop and cloud assets to profoundly improve the subsurface modelling practice.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Cultivate an expert level of understanding in the needs of our customers, identify opportunities, and co-create the products vision and goals that will solve real life problems for our customers.
- Establish yourself as the undisputed product expert in Geostatistics and Data Science.
- Leverage a wealth of quantitative and qualitative data to determine improvements to existing products and opportunities for new products.
- Solidify your position as a key figure in Seequent's geostatistics and data science capabilities and a knowledgeable professional in the domain of the business, suppliers, partners, competitors and clients.
- Lead the search for new product value by engaging various internal stakeholders and facilitating user/customer collaboration across all work stages to consistently address users' needs.
- Foster a shared vision and create trust between stakeholders and the team, inspiring both peers and colleagues through connections, expertise, and assistance in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others within your domain of expertise.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Geology plus postgraduate qualification in Geostatistics or related discipline is essential.
- 5 years industry experience in mineral resource estimation with direct involvement in creating estimates for projects at various stages and in accordance with international best practices.
- Proficiency in advanced geostatistical methods, with python coding and SDK/API usage essential. Proven experience in deriving practical workflows from mathematical algorithms will be highly regarded.
- Competent user of Seequent’s Geostatistical solutions, or equivalent products.
- Expert knowledge of both the value proposition and key workflows of Geostatistics & Data Science and how it fits into solutions for Seequent’s various segments and industries.
- A proven ability to analyse market, product usage, and customer success data to make projections on the product's performance and to create plans for improvement.
