Motor Mechanic

Our client is a professional and well-established Automotive repair business in Christchurch. We have a Collision repair department and a Bridgestone tyre department which complements the Mechanical workshop. We have a busy, professional team and we provide ongoing training to enhance your skills. We pride ourselves on having a longstanding, loyal and diverse customer base with a variety of work to challenge you.

This role is crucial to keeping our business moving and is responsible for:

• Supporting the maintenance manager to achieve the accountabilities and KPI’s.
• Completing jobs as assigned, including preventative maintenance.
• Ensuring all vehicles are serviced as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Keeping the workshop clean, tidy, and organized at all times, ensuring that all tools and equipment used for maintenance and repairs are put away at the end of the job.
• Being proactive and looking for ways to improve the workshop.
• Abiding by all Health and Safety Policies and procedures.
• Reporting all accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards immediately.
• Actively leading and monitoring Health and Safety Policy initiatives to improve Health and Safety policies within the workplace.
• Carring out any additional duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required to meet the demands of efficient company functioning.

• Minimum of hours of work is 30 hours and maximum is 45 hours.
