We are seeking a dedicated and organized Associate Storekeeper to manage and operate our telecommunications and ICT store efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing the supply chain, issuing equipment and supplies to field teams, tracking usage, ensuring the return of unused materials, and overseeing all aspects of store operations. The Associate will also provide supervision and guidance to the Store Assistant Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all telecommunications equipment, supplies, and tools, including fiber optic cables, patches, ODFs, OTDRs, power meters, and other testing equipment.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and wastage.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory checks to reconcile records and identify discrepancies.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee the procurement and timely delivery of store supplies, managing relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering processes as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.

Equipment Issuance and Tracking:

  • Issue fiber optic cables, patches, ODFs, testing tools (OTDRs, power meters, etc.), and other supplies to field teams based on authorized requests and work orders.
  • Implement a robust system for tracking issued equipment, including recording the date, time, quantity, recipient, and project associated with each issuance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for equipment handling and safety.

Inventory Control:

  • Implement procedures for the proper handling, storage, and organization of all inventory items.
  • Ensure that all inventory is stored securely and protected from damage.

Return of Unused Materials:

  • Implement and enforce procedures for the return of unused spare parts, cables, patches, and other equipment to the warehouse in good condition.
  • Regularly inspect returned items for damage.

Civil Works Tracking:

  • Track civil works associated with projects, managing invoices, and ensuring all necessary documentation is properly completed.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, supply chain performance, equipment usage, and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in store operations and efficiency.

Policies:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in inventory management and supply chain operations, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Equeliant qualification to New Zealand Level 2 or 3.

Experience:

Minimum 2 to 3 years with a well-reputed Telcom and IT storekeeping role.
