Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As the Facilities and Fleet Support you’ll manage Environment Canterburies Facilities, fleet and accommodation services in South Canterbury, ensuring they are fit of purpose and provide a safe working environment. The Asset Services Team is the single point of contact for people using our facilities and our aim is to ensure a standardised level of service throughout the organisation.
You’ll undertake and own a range of activities including:
Ideally, you’ll have a Diploma in Facilities Management or equivalent qualification. This role is an opportunity to utilise your skills in organisation, administration and multi-tasking. You’ll be the type of person who thrives on tackling a number of different tasks on any given day; a people person who delights in building relationships and helping others. You’ll have the confidence and experience to be the sole representative of the Asset Services Team in South Canterbury.

You’ll undertake and own a range of activities including:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with outsourced suppliers and contractors to ensure the delivery of effective services
- Responding to staff requests and resolving issues, raising and monitoring progress of work orders and ensuring quality of the outcome.
- Overseeing the smooth running of our Timaru office.
- Keeping accurate records that feed into our long term planning processes
- Getting out and about to participate in property and vehicle inspections to ensure legislative compliance, optimal condition, staff comfort and usability.

- A full, clean driver’s licence and the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
- Experience in a facilities or contract management environment
- Experience working with Maintenance Management, Asset Management or equivalent computer systems
